Hispania - Pereira

A great culinary experience in Pereira. Both the ambience and the menu are immaculate (I never had any more delicate beef in Colombia, and the paella is authentic). It's the perfect date point. The service was impeccable, and our waiter, Rafael, was not only a prince of a guy, but his recommendations were perfect. If you want to eat Spanish outside Spain, you want to come to such a place.

Wife and I brought three of her family members to lunch to celebrate her sister's birthday. Party of 5 and boy took care of us. Not busy what I certainly helped, the service was spectacular. The owner, from Spain, but now loves to live in Colombia, is very much a hand to owners. He helped us lead into the entry we really wanted. Seafood is all fresh NOT FROZEN. We have experienced this ourselves when the supplier brought it along when we arrived. This for Pereira is a performance in itself (the fresh non-frozen reference for seafood). Wine pairings proposed by the owner/good staff were right. This restaurant is formerly a home and has an indoor pool area that is good, very unique. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Essen Prep and delivery was very fast and punctual. We all had seafood and everyone enjoyed either fish, shrimp and salads. the salad had a marinaded cucumber disc that was from this world. Said the owner he had to bottle and sell, but he just laughed and didn't want to convey how he had such a delicious morsel. In any case, our family will definitely return to this fine restaurant with seafood in the future. Perhaps this is the place where I can bring the band of 20 for a nice meal and not have to wait 2 hours for our food (see reviews other restaurants, BUT NOT DIESES ONE. Service was fantastic and prompt. We recommend this restaurant very much.

While in Colombia in September my family and I decided to look for good restaurants and explore. We love seafood and since it somehow hard ro find a good place I usually go through many reviews and of course always look for the best. We found Hispania Restaurant. When we arrived, we were thrilled to see the place. It's just stunning. It used to be a mansion in the days npw it is a beautiful place with ingenious food. The service was great!!! The waiters 2 Venezuelian guys were exactly what you need while in a restaurant. The one who served us knew the manu perfectly and his recommendations were just at the point. We were able to enjoy a great delicious meal and some great wine. This place is perfect for an elegant and delicious dinner. Make sure you visit this place while in Pereira. The pool in the middle of the terrace makes it a perfect setting for a romantic dinner. I wish I had taken more photos, but I really felt like enjoying the place

Great restaurant, great appetizers, wine, paella and good service. All I had was excellent. They serve the best Paella marinera in the city. And I mentioned that the service top notch! And they also serve the best margarita in the city!!! I highly recommend it!

We have eaten here several times since 2015 and we have always enjoyed first rate dishes, service and ambiance. The owner justifiably takes pride in serving top quality Spanish dishes and he does not disappoint. The appetizers are superb and well worth it. Especially recommended are the salmon canapes with caviar and the boquerones (a type of Spanish sardines.) All of the Spanish seafood dishes are top notch. Not least, the restaurant has one of the best wine selections that we have found in Pereira. The owner, Manual, never fails to give us the perfect recommendation. The ambiance here is especially nice with a pool and some views of the city. Its a great place to come with friends as we have done several times for a memorable evening. Highly recommended.
