Village Inn - Peoria

I ordered the Lemon Artichoke and Spinach along with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Every bite was delicious and satisfying. Although the customer service seemed a bit understaffed, it was truly exceptional. The restaurant was also clean and well-sanitized.

Terrible experience. The restaurant appeared fantastic, and the food menu looked even more enticing. My wife and I visited today for Father's Day with our son, and we were overlooked twice, likely due to our age and the color of my skin. Even other customers who were waiting noticed that we were passed over and tried to inform the hostess that we were next. However, the hostess clearly ignored their comments and suggestions. As a husband, father, and veteran, I cannot recommend this establishment.

The restaurant was understaffed, resulting in a long wait to be seated. When we ordered our food, it arrived in a very haphazard manner, and several items were missing. Our server had a poor attitude and forgot many things related to our meals. By the time we were nearly finished eating, the server finally brought out the rest of the sides that were supposed to accompany our entrees, such as eggs, bacon, and fries. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we definitely won’t be coming back.

Really enjoyed our meals. I had the turkey dinner for lunch which I was pleasantly surprised that I got a lot of turkey, always a good thing. My husband got the skillet with everything including bacon on the side with sausage too. Worth the money. I had his pancakes and hit the spot as my dessert. They were out of the peanut butter pie which the manager says is so popular that they probably won't get another shipment in till January next year. They have so many yummy pies to choose from we usually order a whole one to take home. Service is wonderful and she made us feel like she valued our patronage.

Been here twice. 1st time was slow and low quality. Thought maybe they had an off day. Didn't go back for a while. Just tried again and will never go back. Waited for about an hour for our food. Twice they brought us other tables orders, when they did bring us ours, the didn't make one of our parties order, the skillet I ordered, the potatoes I believe were deep fried leftovers. Totally ruined the skillet. I sent it back without even tasting it and asked the waiter to take it off my bill and didn't even wanna bother ordering something else. Needless to say I will not be returning. Slow, low low quality and unorganized.
