Osaka - Peoria

Update 11/14/22: We had another fantastic 5-star experience at Osaka P83, and the food was absolutely delicious! Tonight, our chef was Anthony, who brought so much fun to the evening. He provided the best dining entertainment we've had so far—definitely ask for him! He can be a bit quirky and is quite the talented cook as well. We’re big fans of teppanyaki and decided to try a new place, and Osaka P83 did not disappoint! Every dish was delicious, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Our waitress, Daniella, was amazing; she checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed, and she was incredibly sweet. Make sure to request Jesus as your teppanyaki chef—he was wonderful, hilarious, and very entertaining! Plus, he knows how to cook! Everything tasted fabulous! The ambiance and decor of the restaurant were also beautiful. This is definitely a new favorite spot for us, and we can’t wait to come back!

Jesus was our Teppanyaki chef, and he was incredibly entertaining! I ordered an unflavored soju, which tastes a lot like excellent vodka—lightly sweet and smooth. I had the fillet, and my husband went for the seafood trio teppanyaki; I particularly loved the fillet and scallops. I also want to mention that the bathrooms were clean, and the restaurant itself had a tidy appearance. The atmosphere was quite dark with red lighting, and I really appreciated the chair topper pillows designed for shorter people like myself!

Our waitress, Holly, was a gem and very respectful. I highly recommend trying the Holly Special for a drink; it was excellent! The food was fantastic, and the chef did an outstanding job. Without a doubt, it was the best birthday celebration.

Wife and I love our sushi. We thought we were trying this place instead of our usual locations. I thought it was good, woman wasn't impressed. She made a valid point. Wasabi had no heat. We both love the heat of Wasabi. I put a ball of him the size of a quarter in my soy sauce and it did nothing. But I'm digressing. Not shown here are the Jalapeño Poppers. They're not pictured because I ate them too fast. They were bombs. Can never go wrong with a Saki bomber. We also ordered a citrus roll (good if you like a burst of refreshing citrus with your food) and the Jalapeño roll. The Jalapeño roll had no heat, but I thought it was still delicious. I'm going back.

Celebrated my daughters 8th birthday. It was her first time at this type of restaurant, so she was a little nervous. Our chef (VU) was so friendly and really interacted with her. She felt so comfortable and they joked around and shared lots of laughs. He really included her and made her feel so special! Can't thank him enough for the entertainment. The food was delicious and on point. The restaurant was very clean. The woman who sat us to our table was so friendly and nice. Our server was super friendly too. Everyone we came across had a smile on their face and made us feel so welcome for our first time there. Can't wait to go back and make some more special memories.
