Jerk Hut - Peoria

The waitress who took my order was very friendly. I ordered the vegan (tofu) jerk tacos and they were ready within the 10-minute timeframe she gave me. Although the tacos were quite spicy, they were also incredibly tasty. If you're in need of a fast and tasty vegan meal, this is definitely a great place to visit!

The food was flavorful with a nice spice level. The wait was longer than anticipated, but the freshly made dishes were worth it. (Updated review as of 2021-09-27)

I couldn't find many vegan choices in Peoria, so I decided to dine at a local restaurant instead of a chain. I ended up choosing Jerk Hut for dinner. They had a few vegan options on the menu, and I decided to try the jerk tofu bowl. I asked for it to be less spicy, but it still packed a punch! The portion size was generous, but I had to stop eating because it was too spicy for me. If you enjoy spicy food, this is the place for you.

We wanted to get their tacos, but they were out of tofu so we got the veggie burgers instead. Their burgers and fries were amazing. This was the best vegan burger we’ve ever had from a restaurant. We also got a side of rice and red beans, and my picky-eater husband loved them too! It’s worth the trip and the money.

The pizzas appeared in slandered boxes and seemed to be shaken or falling again and again.
