Contribuiți la feedbackWe were warmly welcomed and seated right away. Within two minutes, a server came by to take our drink orders, and shortly after, another server arrived with complimentary chips and a delicious house-made salsa featuring chopped tomatoes, onions, garlic, and cilantro. Our initial server returned soon after with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. When we asked about the Mahi Mahi fish tacos (available with soft corn, soft flour, or hard flour tortillas), the server kindly offered to bring us some of each, accommodating our preferences. As we enjoyed about half the basket of chips and most of the salsa, our entrees were delivered by a second server. This was probably the fastest service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant—efficient without feeling rushed. I ordered the Mexican Salad, which was an enormous and beautifully presented plate of fresh greens, mixed lettuce, and romaine, topped with lime cilantro rice, seasoned black beans, lightly breaded and fried Mahi Mahi, and pico de gallo. The dish was also garnished with a few taco chips around the plate. I requested the slightly spicy Sante Fe dressing on the side and ended up using about half of it. The combination of speed, efficiency, courteous service, and delicious Southern California Mexican cuisine was unbeatable tonight.
Head straight to the bar and ask for Bryce—the guy with the tattoos and man bun. He makes the absolute best limeade margaritas on the island! I recommend skipping the Grand Marnier and opting for Cointreau and agave with extra limes instead. Then, grab a menu and order the chips, salsa, and guacamole! I personally love the suicide nachos and the quesadillas as well. Don’t miss out on brunch—you won’t be disappointed. This place is situated on The Boardwalk, so you can enjoy plenty of activities afterward while walking off your delicious meal!
I tried the Mexican Salad with pulled chicken and the Grill Wrap with mahi, both of which were tasty. The wrap was generously filled with melted cheese and grilled onions, making it hard to go wrong with the ingredients, but it was still enjoyable. The portion sizes were decent, and I found the prices to be reasonable, particularly given that it’s a tourist area. I haven’t visited the original location in East Hill, so I can’t compare the two, but for this location, the pricing, and overall quality, I think this place is pretty good and worth a return visit.
Whenever we visit Pensacola, we always dine here, and it never disappoints. The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is fantastic. You really can't go wrong!
This was the ideal spot for a late lunch or early dinner for my wife and me. We don't eat meat, but that was not an issue here. Cactus Flower is happy to make adjustments. For instance, my wife ordered the Mexican Salad and opted to exclude the meat. She also chose the delicious lime rice as her side. I had the Vegetarian Burrito with lime rice. It's important to note that this is not a fancy restaurant, but it is clean, bright, and comfortable. Our server, Gina, provided exceptional service. They also offer outdoor seating. Their Happy Hour is from 4 PM to 6 PM.
