Love the idea of this place to showcase local goods and services! You'll probably find something for everyone here. Lots of local crafts and homemade goods like baked goods, syrup, and honey. Many different food vendors selling freshly made food! I want to come back for some pierogis!
What a great find! We were staying in Watkins Glen and wanted some fresh veggies. The market had many Amish stands. We bought five giant beefsteak tomatoes for four dollars and a cucumber. The tomatoes were to die for. Also, bought some horseradish cheese spread and some Scottish shortbread. If you have the opportunity to visit this market, I highly recommend you do.
This place is stellar. When we visited, during Mother's Day weekend, we didn't even get to see all the stalls. We took our time with the stalls out back and purchased many things. The variety of items at the Windmill is wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I can't wait to go back and peruse the stalls properly. We were on a bit of a time crunch due to getting to wineries and other sights around the area. Plan to spend at least 3 hours here. They also have food vendors. I think there are only portable toilets though.
This farm/craft market was an interest of both mine and my mom's, who was concerned about the amount of walking. I decided this past Saturday to take a fall ride down, to check it out in honor/memory of my mom as we both were interested in going. Overall, there are plenty of vendors in one location with various items food vendors galore, wine, beer, vegetable/ flower stands, candy, crafts, Amish bake goods etc) The location itself had everything in one area. I wasnt a fan of the crowds when I was there, just for safety during a pandemic, not too many with masks on indoors. I was fortunate and had mine, just for safety measures. The day was a nice event, and my mom would have enjoyed herself minus the wind, we would have made it work out, even if I would have gave my mom a push in a wheelchair too avoid her walking too much. Positive experience, great if your looking to support local and dont mind everything in one location. My favorite stands were the farmers, and the Fulkerson Winery..as I never had Diamond grape juice 100% straight from the vineyard. Its worth the drive to check out on a Saturday, just for the scenic country view and experience.
