Oceanario - Peniche

We arrived very late at the restaurant. The waiter was very nice and kind and let us sit down for dinner.Very traditional place,with stunning Seaview. We ordered the caldeirada ,very typical food from there,that was delicious. Good quality and good price.

Nice staff but a pity about the food not so fresh fish which was over cooked a regrettable experience. not one to rush to.

Good, fresh fish and seafood with a great view overlooking the harbour. The squid and the cod fillet dishes with boiled potatoes were lovely.

We wanted to love Oceanario. It has a wonderful location with a view of the marina on one side and the old fortress on the other. It was a gorgeous day and we were hungry from walking all morning. The restaurant, however, was only okay. The waiter seemed bored and was not very helpful. A large portion of the menu was not available because the restaurant was preparing to shut down for the winter and was not keeping up its supplies. The food was serviceable, but the only thing that was outstanding was the fries, and they were great.

Phantastic lunch for a great price with a great view. The wine from the region was delicious too. Highly recommended.
