Contribuiți la feedbackWe decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim while visiting a friend at South Pembs Hospital. Upon entering, we found the restaurant to be empty. The owner greeted us warmly and we ordered a mixed kebab, butter chicken, and chicken saag. However, I found that my kebab tasted similar to chicken and detected a faint taste of disinfectants. The vegetables were delicious, but I think the taste of the meat may have been affected by the cutting board being disinfected. The kitchen was definitely clean, which is a positive. We typically dine at another restaurant regularly, so our expectations may have been too high. The owner was very friendly and the restaurant was spacious and clean, but unfortunately, we were not impressed with the taste or value of the food. It may be some time before we decide to return.
Last year, my husband and I visited this restaurant during a trip to visit family. We decided to try something new for dinner. The restaurant was not too crowded as many people seemed to be ordering takeout. The food was delicious and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to give us recommendations and describe each dish in detail. The owner was also friendly and answered all of our questions. I ended up dining at this restaurant twice during my week-long stay in the area - once for a sit-down meal and once for takeout. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I am back in the city as it was affordable and had great quality food.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with large portions and great value for money. I would recommend it to anyone! We shared a mixed grill starter, which was delicious, but it filled us up and we didn't have room for dessert. I ordered a curry with extra chili and onions, and the staff were happy to accommodate my request. I also tried a Keema Naan with cheese for the first time, and it was delicious!
Our last night here was just fabulous. There were 19 of us. We all sat together on a table that ran the length of the restaurant. What a great night we had here. At first, I was a little worried that the food ages or that it would come in Dribs and Drabs, as there were so many of us. How wrong was I? The waiter took our orders in pairs and brought our drinks to us in minutes. The food arrived fast. I think we waited less than half an hour, which is really good. The food was great. I had the honey chicken, lots of chicken and the sauce was divine (not sick, as some mild dishes can be. Also the portion sizes on all other dishes were good. We were with friends from Ireland who commented that this was one of the best Indian meals they've ever eaten. The staff is helpful and friendly. The service is immediately. I often find that in some local Indian restaurants the food and especially the drinks can be quite expensive, but the prices here for food and drinks were very reasonable. Extremely good value for money. I'm surprised this place isn't packed into the Rafter every weekend. We're definitely going back.
Went last week for my husbands birthday, had a lovely meal, generous portions, one of the nicest curries I've had. Very reasonably priced and the sauces were lovely. Very helpful staff and am going back next week with a party of 17!
