The Courtyard Bistro - Pembroke

Extremely accommodating. Nearly the entire menu could be adapted for gluten-free options. Our meal was fantastic. I chose the special pasta dish made with gluten-free penne, and also enjoyed a delicious roasted tomato and mushroom soup. The rest of our group was satisfied with their traditional meals. The decor was tasteful and appealing. The servers were efficient, friendly, and well-informed.

Presentation of food was good. I had the lentil stew. Large portion - enough for my lunch and take-home for a second lunch.

Food was slow and when it finally arrived was bland. Slow service and not too friendly. Wouldn't go back.

This is a little gem in Pembroke. We stopped for brunch on Sunday, as we drove from Lake Nipissing back to Montreal. Very different menu and something for every taste. Very friendly staff

Went in on a Sunday there was only 4 tables seated. 3 Servers working. Hostess sat us and then left and we didn't see a server for 5-10 minutes. Server didn't ask us if we wanted drinks or anything. They had a good amount of specials but it was hard to follow what they were as the explanations were long. Anyway I had a smoked meat sandwich and my wife had the pasta special. and we started with spinach and avocado dip. Food was good, the flatbread with the dip was awesome, the dip itself was nothing special and didn't really appeal to me as it was kind of flavourless. Sandwich was great the potatoes were again nothing special as it was just a plain pan fried potato. wife had no complaints about the pasta. What really turned me off was the service. It was really slow and we had a hard time getting our servers attention for drink refills. seeing the cooks coming out front in their jean shorts also did not appeal to me. but hey thats just my opinion. Also the Giant TV over top of the bar playing cartoons was not exactly in line with the style of place this is.This is my second time being here and its still nothing special. Good food but thats about it.
