Contribuiți la feedbackService was so slow, our food from the kitchen did not arrive and we waited almost 30 minutes, although some picking out orders came and out while we were watching. We finally fed and paid for just what we ate, all you can eat hungry. The food is good, but the slow service does not matter. The excuse that it is Covid-19 is not flying because the service was slow before the pandemic. Will not come back and not recommend.
Sumo didn't look like much on the outside, yet really when we first got there. Of course, the fact that the place was packed should have been a good indicator. The owner(? is a brilliant hostess who immediately acted as if we were best friends who... my bride and I conjured. When we realized that Tehere were dietary requirements, they didn't hit an eye, and when the food came to the table, it was with "This is for you. He can't touch! The rest is for him, all with a huge grin that had fun. All you can eat Sushi was great, including the things that were made a little different for my bride. Each product had its own taste and was a pleasure to eat. The price corresponded to quality.
This was our first time to eat in this local restaurant and it will definitely not be our last. It was fantastic!!!! Our server of owners) made us so welcome help us with our choice there is so much to choose) and even have...ya a free appetizer. The sushi was so fresh and the whole food came fast and very hot. Thanks for a great dinner we will definitely be back!!!!
It was confusing and embarrassing when they checked our choices and informed us that we could not order from the lunch menu while someone had already ordered from the dinner menu at the table. I was almost finished with my meal when the sushi arrived. It was awkward when a female worker (possibly named Annie, as mentioned in other reviews) came to our table to ask the young girl when she planned to eat her sushi. Despite my statement that I did not like sushi and would not be eating it, my young friend ordered four different types of sushi. One of the choices came with six pieces, while another had only four. I was surprised that they did not bring smaller portions to our table, considering my preference. We ended up paying for two dinner buffets. The most upsetting part was when the female worker came back to our table a second time and asked the 15-year-old if she would be finishing all the food. It was shocking to hear her suggest taking the untouched food to another customer. I paid the $65 bill for two buffets and a Pepsi, and left without causing a scene. After I left, I saw the worker taking the untouched sushi back to the kitchen. It was unsettling to think that it might be served to someone else, as we could have had allergies or touched the food. Overall, the experience was unpleasant and disappointing for both me and the young girl I brought with me.
My husband and I only go to Sumo Sushi, especially when we have a sushi craving! Annie greets you like family, and her sushi is the BEST in the Ottawa Valley. Highly recommend!
