Highgate Inn - Pembroke

A nice country inn and hotel, with a lovely bar and restaurant and friendly staff. 'Staff ' being singular. One person at a time. providing us with breakfast. The place is not functioning; no bar, no food in the evening. An empty space. The morning we left it appeared to be a completly empty building. Everywhere was locked up, no staff, no breakfast,The owners car was not there. We loaded the car and drove away; did not see a soul. I expected an explaination, an appology, a refund for the breakfast not provided ... still waiting. Rooms: 4 Service: 3 Location: 4

We went here for a meal, me and the wife really enjoyed it, the staff was lovely and the portion for the price was good. We will probably go again Service: 5 Location: 4

Although staying in the village, we hadn't been as it's not dog friendly. However, a local service organisation arranged a meeting with us at lunchtime, there instead of in Pembroke to help. It's not people friendly either. Although the door sign said it was open, it wasn't

Came to a meeting there which had been organised, arrived all closed up so not only not dog friendly but not people friendly either.

Good welcoming staff. Clean rooms and staff accommodated odd arrival times. Good breakfast
