Lian Wang Chinese - Pekin

Wonderful family run restaurant. This is my wife's favorite Chinese food. We have been going there for over a decade, and he for much longer.

Got take out, so I can’t speak much to the atmosphere. Personnel were fine, prices normal. The food however was inedible, and I threw 90% of it away. The chicken was all gristle, and after ordering extra spicy there was not a hint spice in it. Crab rangoons were middle of the road, as was the egg roll. I’ve had a lot of Chinese food, and this was probably the worst I’ve ever had. I hope it was just an off night for them.

Spent $95 on dinner and the only meal that was eaten was the 2 orders of sweet and sour chicken. Chicken w/garlic sauce, peanut butter chicken and orange chicken dishes were rated 1-2 at best. I have never had YELLOW fried rice?!?! Seems they purchased packaged saffron rice and added a few veggies…… definitely was NOT fried rice. Rice was mushy and tasteless to be honest. I am so disappointed I wanted a cooking free dinner and spent $95 on food going to the trash can.

The food was good, but there were so many supply boxes in the dining area, I felt like I was having lunch in a warehouse. When customers open the front door, this is their very first impression of your establishment. It should be clean and tidy. Its unfortunate.

My husband picked up our food, I got spicy orange chicken. I swear they made it with love! Tons of sauce, so good!
