The Simple Greek - Pearland

Delicious Mediterranean cuisine served in a “subway” style format. The traditional gyro was every bit as good as it looked, especially with the additional Greek style spices (definedly recommended, especially with one of their custom sauces). The French fries with feta, vinegar and oregano were a refreshing change from the American standard choice. Several options for health-conscious diners, they offer a shell format instead of the Pitta bread. A welcome addition to Pearland.

I'm completely satisfied. It may resemble a subway restaurant, but that's where the similarities end. The food here is fantastic! The hummus is excellent, the bread is fresh, and the Greek fries are delightful. The salad is also really good. The prices are very reasonable for such high-quality food.

It is fast and easy, like the chipotle of Greek cuisine. I had a bowl, lentil base, with traditional gyro-meat, salad mix, a grape leaf, garlic green beans, feta cheese, garlic cream and tzatiki sauce with salt, pepper, oregano, olive oil and lemon. DELICIOUS!!! And the price was up!!!!

I could easily give this restaurant five stars after a second visit. Everything was fantastic: the dishes were light, refreshing, and full of natural flavors, making for a very enjoyable experience. The interior was clean and stylish, and the staff were incredibly helpful, providing clear explanations about the menu and options. The selection was impressive. However, the meat, rice, and lentils looked a bit dry, which is understandable since they may not be as fresh by 9 a.m. as they are at earlier times like 5, 6, or 7 a.m. The chicken, in particular, should not have been out; it was overly dry, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering it. Despite this, we definitely plan to return and will aim to go earlier to avoid items that are nearing the end of their freshness. Even so, we ordered a pita and a bowl, both of which were delicious.

The name says it all. I had a gyro while I was working nearby, and I found that I was full by the time I got halfway through it. The portions are generous for the price. Don't hesitate—just eat here!
