I absolutely love the bar here, and the service is exceptional. Mary and Alexis are my favorite bartenders; their cocktails are fantastic! Price per person: $50–100. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5. I highly recommend trying the calamari, salt and vinegar chicken skin, and fried pork chop.

The food that does come out of the bar is mostly quite good, and I particularly enjoy the garlic fries and fried chicken skins. They do have a “Poke of the Day” selection, but it would be great to see a wider variety offered, even at a premium for those of us enjoying drinks at the bar. Unfortunately, the management might not see the need for this change, as they’ve maintained the same setup since before the pandemic. On the beverage side, there's a fairly diverse alcohol selection available. However, the mixed cocktails are prepared from a basic recipe that anyone could follow—take their Old Fashioned, for instance. It’s not the beloved classic many of us cherish. Their version includes Hennessy, which I believe could be adjusted, but I wouldn't recommend it since it lacks the care and expertise that a proper cocktail deserves. When I asked the bartender if she had ever seen someone make this drink in a high-end steakhouse, she admitted she wasn’t experienced with hard liquor and simply follows the house recipe. The result? It’s evident in the drink quality. That said, I did enjoy their Yuzu Ume Whiskey Sour, which was quite tasty—essentially a unique twist on a Whiskey Sour. We wrapped up our drinking session with a refreshing Limoncello shot over ice, which was a fun way to end the night. Overall, I recommend this neighborhood bar for several reasons: there’s ample parking, friendly staff, and a clean, well-maintained environment. Though it can get busy, the staff is well-prepared to keep the drinks and food flowing. It is a bit strange, though, when your bartender asks if you want dessert after you’ve been drinking for four hours, just before last call!
