Ichiban Hibachi Sushi - Pearl

You will not enjoy your experience at this restaurant! The prices are high, but the entertainment and fun factor are severely lacking. The cook only showed some enthusiasm when throwing eggs for us to catch, which was not enough to make up for the lackluster service. My daughter's birthday celebration was spoiled by the unengaging atmosphere and unimpressive cooking skills. The total bill came to a whopping $195, with a mandatory $24 tip added on top of that. When I raised my concerns with the manager, they only offered a measly $15 discount on the taxes. This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.

Ichiban in Pearl was a great choice for hibachi. The entrance was welcoming and elegant. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and seated us promptly. Since we went before the peak hours, I can't comment on how busy they might get later. Our waitress was attentive and quickly took our orders. The chef was already at the grill preparing our selections before our drinks and sides arrived. He confirmed our orders and started cooking right away, skipping the usual flashy performance which was great since we were hungry. Once he finished cooking, our table was promptly cleaned. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Great place for groups or couples. The food is delicious and plentiful. My family and I enjoyed the full experience. You have excellent drinks. I don't think you can choose something bad here. I recommend the liquid marijuana. You'll be glad you tried.

Nice ambience. We enjoyed the drinks and the service. It was surprising that they calculate an automatic satisfaction on only two guests. I'll probably be back.

It is uncommon to find sushi in Mississippi, but this restaurant is a decent option despite the slightly dry rice. I had to use great skill to prevent my sushi from falling apart with chopsticks. The bar area had a nice appearance and lovely decor, but the continuous gospel music was not my preference. I would rate the overall experience as three stars at most, but I would be willing to give this place another chance.
