Cannonball Cafe - Pea Ridge

Wow! This place is amazing. I found it on Google and as I'm a fan of chicken fried steak I just had to visit. To say it is good, is an understatement. It was as if it came from grandma's kitchen. Homemade and delicious! The potatoes are real and the fried okra always amazing. There was a seasoning on it that took it over the top. Things to keep in mind: this location is small and there was only one waitress. This means that you might either have to wait for your food or for drinks. I felt that we were served really fast but a couple walked in and in less then 2 mins walked out as the waitress wasn't there to seat them right away. They missed out on one of the best homemade meals I've ever had.

?? BEWARE ??Not edible. I hate giving reviews like this, but this place is a health concern. We ordered a family meal for 4 yeatersday to take home for dinner. The mac and cheese was BITTER. It tasted like it was cooked in acetone. One of the worst things I?ve ever eaten. The chicken was extremely dry. The mash potatoes were the only semi-edible thing we ordered. Absolutely disappointed I gave these people any of my money. Eat at your own risk.

I?m new to town and heard about the all you can eat catfish dinner. OMG! It was so good! How good you ask? Well let me tell you? the two pre teens we had with us are fussy eaters and they LOVED the catfish! They also loved their meals, a BLT with fries and the kids portion of chicken strips and Mac and cheese. High praise indeed. Again, the catfish was the best I have ever had.

Unbelievable hidden gem!!! I have drove by this restaurant every day and never stopped. What a mistake that was. The food was unbelievable the ham steak took up the whole plate and the chicken fried steak was even bigger. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The owner was our waitress and took such great care of us. This will definitely be our new breakfast spot.

Our Son lived in Pea Ridge 2 yrs and has never visited. We are from florida we took him. Great home cooking! Real America! Love it. Must go if your in Pea Ridge
