Suan Eakaparp Vegetarian - Pattaya

We made a special trip to this place and it is not immediately easy to find. The Google Maps English-language location had us walking into school grounds and being sternly told to leave. Problematic. I’ve since requested that incorrect location to be deleted. The entry in Thai is correct. I’ve posted a few photos as a guide. The restaurant is in a divine garden setting and beautifully set out. Staff are unintrusive but also a little unavailable. We tried to choose non-spicy dishes from the vast menu, but there was a bit of miscommunication around this and we ended up with one spicy and one very spicy dish. Although I’d love to rate this beautiful place highly, I have to say I only found the food OK, with little flavoring shining out from the spice heat. Additionally , sometimes the wait to be attended to was a bit long, to the extent I had to go to the kitchen to ask for something when the place was not at all busy. The setting will score points though, and I would definitely come back to try some other dishes if I were in Pattaya again.

Finally the restaurant is open again since covid. Very tranquil garden atmosphere despite being so close to Sukhumvit Road. I tried a noodle soup and a duck salad the salad is highly recommend! They now have a menu with photos and in English. Look forward to visiting again soon.

What a find. The food was excellent, the elections were endless and the service was the second to none. It is a little out of the way (which only adds to its charm), but well worth the pilgrimage! Take the trouble, you will not be disappointed.
