Somsakdi's - Pattaya

Very decent culinary experience for food quality and service. price is acceptable and taste like homemade. it is delicious enough if they do not expect it as five stars restaurant. the location is quite difficult to find, especially when Google card directed them to a false wise. coming to the house feels just like a gast in a local Thai home for dinner. the boss is really friendly and humorous, suggestion was beautiful and fit in amount. I can feel that he treats all customers as his family from the heart. he also delivered lime water for cleaning hands and fruits for the snack, which is a movement rarely seen in this district. it is such a pleasant culinary experience that I would recommend to everyone.

We walked in one late afternoon after checking into Crown Pattaya. Somsak is next door. At 3pm, nobody else was there in the restaurant. We ordered few dishes that we could make out from the menu. Food came pretty quickly and was really tasty. The Thai red curry was really red hot. Did not expect that. Slightly pricey compared to other Thai eateries, but the place, service and quality of food is worth it. It's a nice old style place with a great compound with lot of greenery and old style decos and paintings. Must visit place in Pattaya.

Decent restaurant with a nice ambience. The room is very big and airy, with old photos on the walls,plants, and a nice breeze. The food is decent Thai food. The shrimp were fresh and juicy. The only problem is it’s a bit overpriced- I would say it’s Bangkok prices for being in pattaya. A whole fish is 350 baht which is the price of a restaurant in Bangkok’s most expensive neighborhood.

One of the best Thai food we ever had. A little away from all the hustle and bustle of Pattaya city, this restaurant is so laid back with decent ambience. Ample choice on the menu and we loved everything we ordered. European and Chinese options are available too. Price was quite reasonable, 260-300thb per main. However, the service was a bit on the slower side eventhough we were the only customers.

The restaurant is decent and the ambience was quaint. However, I was disappointed with the person who waited on us. He was extremely grumpy and rude. Plus, their flaming chicken which had raving reviews tasted flat and dry. Perhaps we visited the place on a wrong day, because all the other reviews seem to be glowing. Personally, based on my experience, I dont see what the fuss is all about.
