Sello's Caffe Bar Centrale - Passau

Sello's is a bar/cafe for snobs and wannabes. The wine list is below average although if you believe the owner Sello it is exelent.....???????? But then again he is a Turk pretending to be Italian. ???????????? I guess that alone is worth a laugh!

Looks like a relaxed and cosy place but in fact I would say it is Hollywood. The bar keeper is the main actor and his guests are there for the scenery. Overpowered and not real. There are a lot of Italian cafes and bars around which are more authentic.

While walking around Passau on a very cold day we came upon this cafe and all twelve of our party were warmly welcomed by Sello. We sat by the patio heaters on the sheepskin lined chairs with the blankets provided wrapped around our knees and we sampled the gluhwein and other hot wines. You can have coffee - but ' when in Germany'!! The interior of the cafe is very artistically decorated and it is a lovely place to stop and savour the atmosphere,

While walking around passau on a cold Sunday morning we came upon Sellos. Blankets a patio heaters to keep warm as you drink his amazing hot orange Veneto. The owner is a wonderful person who keeps everyone happy. We tried all three hot "wines". Orange, Apple, and Merlot rum. And the paninis were also great. You can just get coffee but ...can't wait to stop by again

When the weather is good it's the perfect spot to settle down with a cup'of coffee and watch the people (mainly tourists) pass by. It's a extravagant interior and the owner (painted on the wall) is very kind.
