Despite this incident, I decided to give it another shot a few months later. On 9/21/2023, I ordered the same dish, but this time it was even worse. The food was tasteless, the fish was overcooked and tough, and the shrimp was hard as well. It was quite unpleasant. I spoke to the owner about my experience, but she still charged me for the meal. I won't be returning. The restaurant has really declined from what it used to be. I wanted to share this in case anyone is considering a visit to Venus Bar and Restaurant in Passaic, NJ. I literally cannot say enough about this place. Amazing food, better portions, phenomenal prices. Understand its a local place for local people. Be kind, understand just how busy it can get. I bring everyone I can here to share it with them.
