So I pulled over and called to see what the deal was and I got a man on the phone who said it was the sushi place when I asked then when I asked if they were open he told me he was somewhere else then hung up on me. Not sure what happened today but it was definitely closed and the person answering the phone was super rude. I hope everything was alright but definitely unprofessional.
All I can say is HANDS DOWN!!!!!! Tsujimoto was the best person to talk to regarding my daughter 's event. It was her 21st birthday, I wanted to have some of her favorite things there 's a surprise... I mean how cool is it to say you have your own Sushi Chef... He really handled every detail every conversation we had so professionally with patience. I applaud him. We ran into a little hiccup on my side event wise. But He was able to get my stresses through by still remaining calm. My daughter and guest were very surprised, Sushi Chef Kumagai... was our chef for the night . He was Awsome. Everyone loved him.. We even had the welcoming phrase for the evening just like you would going into the restaurant Hiroshidosae pardon my spelling if incorrect. The Event was flawless Presentation was beyond my expectations. Cleanliness of the Chef was A+. I Always saw him wash and keep area clean and maintain safety and pandemic precautions. Sorry so long.. But Yes I would do this again. Excellent Job Guys
One of the best price to quality ratio Sushi places in LA ! I have been with Mr. Hide for 10 +years and have almost never had a disappointing experiences! Remember it's catering services! Mr. Hide is a Sushi focused, but offers a small choice of kitchen dishes , such as free range chicken A5 beef teriyaki and tempura as well ! Fish quality is around 8 8.5 10 relative to other LA sushi restaurant, But the combination of quality and price are high . The business brought a table seating and sushi bar seating . If you choose to sit at the bar , the sushi chef you sit in front of will take your order and directly make your sushi, so I recommend refraining from ordering from the menu( full menu is available at the bar) and instead order a la carte from the sushi menu , one order at a time as you would at a drink .Sitting at the table is perfect for family sharing and there are also assorted sushi , Chirashi and other set combinations for ease of Ordering. The Hide and other chefs can get very busy on the few hours , but usually the wait is not that long and turnover is decently paced . Food arrives promptly, but you get the sense you being rushed or pressured to finish quickly. Staff are very attentive and professional, which really stands out during peak hours when everything seems very hectic for them . Remember it is a catering so you call the number and get your chef and the location .
Chef Hide is amazing chef who really cares about quality of the fish and presentation. I highly recommend him for your next catering event as I've been eating his sushi for over 20 years and it's hard to find authentic sushi catering.
