Saso - Pasadena

Really enjoyed the food here! Fresh seafood, nice cocktails, small plates. The oysters were particularly fresh, and I loved the chili sauce they came with. The pulpo and crudo were also excellent.

Great outdoor patio when the playhouse isn’t performing. The seafood pasta is great.

There's so much I love about Sasso. The menu is very well curated with a variety of small bites to opulent main courses. This is my fifth time eating at Saso and every time I'm there I feel like I'm at some European outdoor café. We started off with a cocktail. I had the Sazerac which was perfect. We then ordered a bottle of wine for our meal. Started off with the gem salad which has consistently been one of my favorite things to order. Tons of flavor. They had a appetizer special, Salmon carpaccio. Lovely flakes of salt and delicious olive oil coated the salmon. We shared the large Bronzino that was in a mild garlic butter sauce. Finished off the meal with dessert and an after dinner drink. They really let you take your time and enjoy your meal. The staff is spectacular and very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the menu. Definitely one of my top places in Pasadena.

Saso was an experience! the food was amazing and the service was also! the chef chris and the rest of the staff in saso have made us a great impression and we appreciate the delicious food and the warm hospitality. we went to lunch, ate on the terrace and we ordered so many items and they were always better and better! I can't even choose what was best, I recommend everything! pasta saso must have it. that was light, but saucy and filled with so much quality. salt cod gnocchi the texture of gnocchi, omg mouth water. goi solomoa delicate, spiced on perfection. oysters on half-shell and stones crawl sweet and makes them want more and more. grilled mushrooms the ikura on this plate increases it to the next level! garlic ganbak garlicky prawns, amazing. gazpacho with oktopus! the perfect summer dish. torrija this French toast was so good, I think the three people in our party had eaten three. mini baskenkäse cake soft, subtle, delicious. pot de cream great sweeter away to finish the meal. thanks to saso and chef chris a perfect time!

Great spot near the Pasadena Playhouse. My friend and I made reservations and we were able to sit in the courtyard. The atmosphere is super nice. The drinks were amazing. We ordered the grill prawns and roasted chicken. Both were amazingly delicious. Overall, I really love the ambiance and the service was great. I definitely want to come back and take my husband here for a much needed date night and try other items listed on the menu.
