Contribuiți la feedbackHiro Nori stands out as one of the top ramen spots, boasting thick, juicy pork and a broth that's rich in flavor. The variety of noodles adds to the experience, while the attentive staff ensures a pleasant dining experience. Although the space is on the smaller side, the ambiance remains inviting.
We went here on vacation about a month ago it was one of the worst dining experiences we had in our lives. It was pretty quiet at the time and our server made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. When he was not busy trying to flirt with a couple of the women at a nearby table, he would say self-deprecating comments like my name is X, but it 's okay if you forget my name, which was really off-putting. We had the chicken katsu as an appetizer which actually was pretty good, but after we got it, we waited 20 minutes before our server came back and asked us if we wanted to place our ramen order, which we already placed! Why wouldn 't we want our main course to come out after we placed our appetizer orders? Are you kidding me? We waited another 30-40 minutes for our ramen, which is a huge red flag, because ramen broths usually are made overnight, so it shouldn 't take that long to get our food when there were only 3 tables at the time. It was the most inedible ramen I 've ever had the displeasure of tasting. The broth was flavorless, the pork belly was unseasoned, and the noodles were incredibly soggy. I am from the LA area, so I knew it wouldn 't be comparable to that, but it was disgusting. We didn 't even finish the ramen and left after a few bites. We were disappointed because the Google reviews online for this place were very high, but now we realize it was for the previous menu. I would not recommend going here. If you want good ramen, you will be absolutely disappointed.
In short, It's an ok lunch spot for ramen. With a fee more details, Typical Americanized ramen place as soon as you walk in. Great. Clean. Food was ok. I got the Tonkotsu. Broth was delicious but everything else was ordinary. Mostly noodles and bot much anything with it so spice it up. I don't think the black garlic was black garlic. And my bowl came without the half egg it promised on the menu. They brought it in after I complained...Spicy Tuna on crispy rice was very delicious so I recommend that if you end up eating here. Water was infused with lemon and such things so it had seeds and other remnants but I had no clue so at first I assumed there is something in my water. The lady would was waiting on us, hated her job and needs a lot more training if she wants to keep doing this. She was impatient for us to choose something knowing very well that I just sat down and don't even have a menu. She had a bad attitude and it's like pulling teeth to get napkins, to ask a question, to pay...Now that we arrived at payment, they automatically charge you 16% gratuity without warning or asking, which is a no go for me. That service did not deserve me to pay 16% for it...Maybe that's part of their problem. Dock her pay and she'll get it together? Not sure but I'm going elsewhere next time.
Been here twice in 4 years... and that's coming from someone who loves ramen. This place is decent. Does the job if you're in the area or don't want to head to DT pasadena. Has veggie option which is great. I got the pork tonkatsu... it's real ramen but.. just lacks some heart. Better than Ramen Tatsu but not as good as Ramen Tatsunoya...
Perfect fast casual Ramen spot. Karage is insanely delicious, reminds me of Japan. Had the dipping ramen and my date got the tonkatsu. Both were delicious. The server told me I was handsome and he's right, so of course I appreciate the honesty. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
