The clam and scallop combo tasted good but the portion was pretty small for the price. There weren’t a lot of fries and the weren’t nearly as crispy as the should be. Overall, it was a mediocre meal with the exception of the burger which I was told it is worth ordering again.
I ate Lobster Roll 2 days in a row for lunch, sure it’s not white table cloth dining but when your Lobster Roll is chunks of fresh Lobster, touch of mayo on a buttery, toasted split top bun, you’ve got me! Bonus it’s on the Lighthouse Beach, you can order take-out (they yell your name out the window) and sit on the picnic tables with your dog and watch the tide and if it’s hot out there’s an Ice Cream Stand.
This family style restaurant was super clean, reasonably priced food. Food was 30 minutes coming, a little longer for others around us, but we were in no hurry. Tip of the hat to our server Jan who was charming and fun.
Service was very good. Unfortunately sausages were burnt and bacon over cooked. Beautiful spot to spend time and walk the beach
What can we say about a place we visited three times? Parrsboro has limited options for dining, but no matter. This would be a standout in any case. It is family-style and not pretentious, which was fine by us. We liked both the breaded and pan seared dishes, but get the scallops and shrimp seared, the clams and haddock deep fried. Check out the local wines from Jost, too. The place features a good selection. The Mariner’s salad would be a delight at a big-city restaurant, and the seafood platter is a great bargain, big enough for two to share. Oh..pie. Made in house! The crust is as good as mine, and I am a crust-snob. I bow before the meringue. It is tall, fluffy, and important.
