Gatehouse Tea Rooms - Parramatta

In the beginning the building was built in 1887 and is an important part of the colonial history of parramatta and in 2007 the world heritage listing of unesco was granted. As soon as they enter this place, they will forget for a moment that they are in the middle of the lively city of parramatta. there is a sitting area outside to the house and also inside the house. I chose the sitting area right next to the garden.

What a beautiful place! excellent food and service and the atmosphere is beautiful. If you can and the weather allowed, sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the park, one of the underestimated gems of sydney.

Sat here for lunch and was super surprised that we were allowed to be high, as most places require an announcement. not only that, we have actually waited less than 5 minutes before our food came out, which was as good as we went during the work period. three eating was nice and we sat outside so we had a nice view of their garden. to be such a relaxing place! they would have been here before a weekend, where it is quite busy, so if they plan to go, I suggest going during the week. service was also really good and recommend this place. also the price was really good!

The Gatehouse Tea Rooms opened last year and after work colleagues raved about the delicious delights, I roped a few old school friends in on a sunny Summer’s Saturday and headed to the Park to celebrate a new local home purchase (congratulations M&A Built over 200 years ago, the stunning colonial building found at the Macquarie Street gates of Parramatta Park allows visitors to take some time away from the hussle and bussle of city life and enjoy a delicious high tea in world heritage surrounds. Most of the others ordered the lovely looking Devonshire Tea 19.00) that comes with two scrumptious scones with served with seasonal jam and cream with your choice of beverage. I'm told the scones were excellent!
