This place was great! I have eaten at Mediterranean restaurants at least 5 or 6 times before and always enjoyed it, but now that I've been to Cafe Cedar, those other restaurants just don't measure up. Everything was clean; our waiter was very friendly and prompt. It looks very elegant but is not expensive. This would be a great place for family gatherings, a first date, or just eating out.
;Quais Katir ; (and I 'm not sure I 've spelled it right) is Arabic for ;excellent ; and it fits for Cafe Cedar. Having lived in the Middle East, I consider Lebanese cuisine as ;comfort food ;. Cafe Cedar 's food certainly applies. From the Baba Ganoush and Hummus (you can order a bowl 1/2 and 1/2) to the warm, decadent desserts, the food is wonderful. Even their pita bread is the best I 've ever tasted. Their wait staff is friendly and helpful. They seem to go out of their way to make the customer feel like part of the family. They 're also prompt and knowledgeable. The linens are heavy, like an elegant restaurant and there are candles on the table. However, with the reasonable prices and friendly personnel, it also feels like a corner cafe. It really mixes the best of both worlds. I 've been to Cafe Cedar many, many times since they opened in 1993 and I 've never been disappointed. Quais Katir!
