Trapper's Chop House - Parker

The restaurant had a musky smell, my soup was barely warm. We had 2 Caesar salads, 1 house margarita, 1 house bourbon, 2 filet bites, brussel sprouts, and a baked potato. Our bill was $101.52 without tip added. The server did take my soup off the bill.

We had been referred to Trappers by a friend who had celebrated a special event there, so we chose to celebrate my birthday there. We were literally the only people in the restaurant, many menu items were unavailable, the food was so-so, but overpriced for what we received. The waiter was very nice but other than his service, everything else was a huge disappointment. I’m sorry I chose it for my birthday.

What a disappointment. For years we have been told they have the best steaks and a great view. The view is only visible with you are standing. The food was good but there was only one steak available on a Wednesday for a party of 3. The menu was very limited and not many if any fish dishes. We actually thought we were given a lunch menu. It was empty basically. Which should have told us immediately something was amiss. The waitstaff though nice didn't bring olives in a martini, salt and pepper to the table or the side dish our guest ordered. These three things had to be asked for.

Restaurant was once a classy, great place to eat. Th fillet on the “rock” was the highlight and signature dish. Now it’s the “Fillet Bites” and a typical hotel bar ambiance. What a disappointment.
