Este Pizza - Park City

I ordered a vegan white pizza and vegan wings to go from this restaurant. I took the food back to my hotel room and tried a slice of pizza. I was impressed by how similar it tasted to dairy, considering I haven't had dairy in over 15 years. However, when I looked at the wings, I realized they were not vegan at all - they were regular wings. I went back to the restaurant and asked about the pizza, which turned out to not be vegan either. The employee informed me that I needed to specify vegan when ordering, which I had done. She admitted that she had inputted my order incorrectly. They made me a new pizza and wings, but when I got back to my hotel, the pizza was not the vegan white pizza I had ordered. It had vegan cheese and some other toppings, like faux chicken. Both the pizza and wings were disappointing - the cheese didn't melt properly and the wings had minimal sauce and a strange sweet flavor. The ranch dip was the only good part of the meal. Unfortunately, after a long day of hiking, I had to throw most of it out. And to make matters worse, it was quite expensive.

This is not the first or second time I have enjoyed delicious vegan pizza in a ski town far from NYC. While it may not be the best pizza I've ever had, it is very tasty and deserves an A for effort in offering a variety of vegan options on the menu. I would definitely order from here again. The standout item was probably the Chick'n pesto sandwich.

Today, I visited Estes Pizza in Park City while on a work trip. The restaurant was not too busy and I quickly ordered at the counter. I decided to try the vegan buffalo wings and they were fantastic - crispy, flavorful, and served with vegan ranch and celery sticks on the side. I enjoyed them so much that I would definitely consider returning to try more dishes before I depart.

After reading the reviews, I called ahead to make sure they had vegan cheese that day. They did. And the reviews said the BBQ unchicken pizza was really good. Sadly, they were out of the vegan chicken. I got a regular combo pizza and was underwhelmed. Not much cheese on it. The plain vegan cheese pizza for the kids was solid--no complaints. Garlic knots could have used some salt. Next time I come back I'll get something with vegan sausage or pepperoni or something more flavorful. And will get wings instead of garlic knots. The live music on a Thursday evening was a nice touch, though.

Lots of vegan options! I had the vegasaurus pizza and vegan Buffalo wings. The “meat” on the pizza was very good and a generous portion. The pizza itself was quite dry and other than the meat, bland. There wasn’t much cheese and I would encourage them to switch to a more melty brand like Teese, and to use more. The buffalo wings were chunks of good seitan battered and fried with buffalo sauce and ranch. All the elements were good, but they were soggy by the time I got home. Maybe better to eat on the spot? If I go back I’ll skip the pizza and just get wings.
