And the tea is average but I'm not a fan of Twinings so it may just be me. Overall not a bad experience, but a bit pricey for what we got.
A great tea room that offers a really good selection of teas and great cakes. The scones were my favourite. Served warm and with a matching blend of tea. A great way to recharge before more walking around.
I love this place. The tea room is in a small alcove above the book shop with a kind of 'secret ' entrance door which adds further to its charm. The setting is extremely inviting and soothing. It takes you back in time. The scones are delicious. I would dissuade you from ordering the red velvet cake.
I was looking forward to discovering this place being amateur of tea salons. I discover with pleasure that they offer a cream tea ... at 14 € !!! very good of course with the real clotted cream but so expensive when we find the same thing in very tourist places in angleterre for £ 5.00 ( 5.50 € ) Certainly because we are to bet, what is very badly serviced also to the French, little organized and long ... we could expect a management more anglo saxon and customer-orientated
On the first floor of the English library, a cozy tea room that serves scones, clotted cream, sandwiches and well-sure tea. Pretty deco. We'd think we're london.
