Au Bretzel - Paris 14e Arrondissement

In this very small Alsacian restaurant, customers get greeted but friendly staff, who have seldom if at all seen the real place. This is a first tester of mind openness for the client. In view of the food, I failed the test, and became for the time of a dinner an anti-globalist: there is no better than Alsacians for doing Alsacian cooking.The food was passable, if bland. A sacrilege: Morteau sausage, part of a Sauerkraut and traditionally closed with a piece of wood, did not have the said piece of wood. Horror did not creep up, but connoisseurs should beware.The institutional Hansi, Alsacian cult restaurant in nearby Montparnasse, closed years ago. This place will not replace it, at least this generation.

Wandered along the street and found this. Entertaining and attentive waiter. Food was excellent. Lovely flavours and different from the standard fare in the other restaurants on the main street. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent moment passé entre amis dans ce sympathique restaurant alsacien. Serveur au top qui prend soin de vous. Très bonne Choucroute que je vous recommande tout comme les flams ! Décoration comme en Alsace, on s'y croirait !

Excellent restaurant, authentique et chaleureux. LE vrai restaurant alsacien de Paris. La cuisine est irréprochable, typiquement alsacienne, faite exactement comme dans l'Est avec de bons produits. Le patron est d'une grande gentillesse, accueillant et sincère, et le cadre est exactement celui d'une Winstup alsacienne : cosy et familial. Parfait d'un bout à l'autre.

Venu y manger plusieurs fois et toujours aussi conquis.Patron au top, service au top, plats délicieux (surtout le jarret ;-) ) et copieux.Je recommande vivement !
