Great service. Very good steak. We also liked the onion soup. Appropriate price $20 Start Main Court). Good atmosphere.
We stumbled the Eurostar, left our bags at the hotel and then went to this restaurant on the basis of other reviews. You never know how this could work, but the choice of this restaurant turned out to be the best decision we would have made. We received a warm welcome and a fabulous service. There was a really extensive menu for all of us, including a friend who only eat fish and vegetarians. My own dish chicken and pasta in a thyme sauce was absolutely elevated. The owner and his colleagues were absolutely beautiful and could not do enough for us. We were just thrilled with our meal and could not have enjoyed a fabulous start in our Parisian visit. Will definitely visit again when we return,
We discovered this lovely friendly restaurant one Friday evening. We were staying in a hotel near Gare St Lazare and decided to walk out from the hotel to find somewhere to eat. Following our principle of always looking around the back streets for somewhere to...eat rather than eating in the busy tourist places, we turned a couple of corners and came across this little gem. We were early, 7.15 pm. The restaurant was empty but we joined two others outside for a glass of rose. We were brought a small plate each of a delicious homemade humus and lovely bread with olives. The owner is a lovely friendly enthusiastic young man worked in the UK for some time has good English, a great sense of humour. He is passionate about his restaurant which happens to be on the site of some old wash houses and was also a brothel. As it was an April evening we moved inside for our meal which was absolutely delicious and value for money. The decor is fun and welcoming and the owner is keen to share his enthusiasm for the restaurant's history and also where he sourced most of the bits and pieces that adorn the shelves. He is well liked as shown by numbers of locals/friends turning up to say hi/eat and or drink. The restaurant was full by the time we left. PLEASE DO visit this place you will not be disappointed.
