Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a terrific find in a characterful, trendy area in the east of Paris between Bastille and Nation. Both my companion and I had the poached egg in chorizo cream (delicious), then the duck confit (the best I have ever had, with lovely crispy skin and moist flesh). The Languedoc red wine the owner recommended was a perfect match. Only in Paris... we struck up conversation with the guy on the next table about Gnosticism and then Kurt Vonnegut when I saw what he was reading. After a lengthy discussion with the owner about the 'brioche egaree ' on the dessert menu its relation to 'pain perdu ', the guy paid for my companion and I to share the dish. Very good value, a great place.
We were staying at hotel next door.. (DO NOT STAY THERE.. Le Patio Bastille We needed to get out of our room and went immediately next door and felt like Home. Language was a tiny problem but smiles and the co owners english got us thru! Our first meal (out of 2 was Sweet breads.. They were GREAT! each course was wonderful homemade style. PLUS they had a wonderful rescue black dog name Berty. who kept a constant eye on us! Food was VERY GOOD!! Service fantastic.. felt like we were in a families home.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The owner is super nice. The food was delicious and the prices were great too. We highly recommend it! He takes credit cards. Not sure why google said cash only . Come here for truly French dining experience!
