Contribuiți la feedbackReservation was for 12, my friends arrived at 12h15pm. Time to say hi, tchat a bit, we started eating at 12h30. And at 1.30pm, you are asked to leave your table. Why!?? Second service is due at 2pm, the buffet is refilled regularly and it...takes 5mns to clean the table. That was a big disappointment. Other places in Paris offer 2 services too but let you finish or even stay if not full!! Here, no choice, you have to go. Not to mention the nearly empty one glass of orange juice, the over (artificially) truffles seazoned egg, the absence of pastries, etc... Otherwise, friendly staff and nice cakes (savoury or sweet). Reasonnable price but once again, not the best deal in the city.
With its graffiti on walls and its ascetic décor, the Farago is definitely a modern place where to go with friends. We were a small group and we ordered some tapas (called pintxo). L'oeuf Incroyable is the restaurant's specialty : a poached egg at a...low temperature on toasted bread with black truffles. A discovery ! I was pleasantly surprised by the octopus and the croquetas who were plenty of flavors. I would not share the same enthusiasm for the tortilla.
I've learned to go with my feelings of dizziness today when I enter a restaurant. we had a cocktail in a bar in this opposite and decided to look at tripadvisor for a nearby place to dinner. we came across color and since we love. tapas, pintxos and iberian style eating, we decided to try it. I honestly don't understand how this place is so high on tripadvisor, because all this was a chaos from beginning to end. I looked up their website to learn more information and check the menu. decided to book there, through their own platform. they had all time clips available for booking and we decided to book for 8PM (it was about 7:15 clock at this moment.) when we came to the restaurant at 8 o'clock, we were greeted very kindly by the amazing waiter. he said he had to wait until the manager sits on us, what's in order. they asked how long we had reserved ourselves because they were not expecting us and obviously were not prepared for our future. we were immediately provided by the manager in the only places at our arrival: a beautiful community table. no problem. funny thing is, on her website, I could reserve up to 8 people for dinner, for which she obviously had no availability, but I think that is her question. we were only handed over the menus in French when we made it clear that we needed English menus. the manager ran around in the restaurant in a crazy frezy. when they finally released the English menu, the manager did not speak a word about the speech and tried to explain very badly that the prices in the English menu were wrong (a lot cheaper than the French.) the nice waiter came to take our order on the ipad and while he talked to us, the manager was behind him, very rude and unrespectful to tell him to go faster. he went so far to stop the waiter, almost cracked the ipad from his hands very aggressive, just doing something and then ran the other wise. it was at this point that I got the feeling that dinner could only go downhill from here. the tellers with whom they have set our table were visibly dirty, with crumbling from other means of life still on them. the serviettes were tiny, and when I say little, I mean the type of serviettes that sometimes use bars as a coaster. but they brought out a broth, which was all to pieces to pieces, and honestly looked like rest of another table. well, we didn't say anything. for the first cure we had the sea berry ceviche. Please never order. the fish was not served in beautiful cubes or tranches, as ceviche is in the rule. instead it was torn apart and looked terrible. make it slip on the basis of look. Maybe the cook who was today didn't know how to bone fish very well, good. then we tasted it. When I told you it was the most rotten fish taste I had ever tried, I'm not lying. it tasted as if it had been left out of the refrigerator for three days and they just poured some nice lime juice over it and called it a day. we had to complain, it was completely unpredictable. I felt really bad, but it was just horrible. the friendly waiter understood and took it back immediately and offered us another dish of whistle. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan so I didn't accept it. we continued with our experience with the garnel and Chorizo court. it was honestly good, but our experience was stained by then. we finally came to the main course that was the chuleton with chimichurri sauce. the chimicurri was not present, the kartoffels were terribly unresolved (to be fair, they brought salt and pfeffer on the table) and the worst of all: we had ordered medium rare and the meat was very obviously well done. it was honestly really sad causation that we wanted to give them another chance, especially because the meat was really tasteful and good quality. we felt bad for the amazing waiter who served us and didn't feel that way to make his life even harder, so we decided not to complain again, simply to eat, pay and go home. we asked the manager for the bill and he said we had to pay in front. while we finished our beer and were ready to go, we saw the guests next to us (reminder: that was a community table, so we were aware of everything around us) who complained about the service and the wee clearly. I don't understand French very well so I didn't know exactly what they said, but I could say that they were very upset with the manager. we went to the front and surprise to pay: the whip we sent back was still in our bill. we had to ask the manager to check it. In summary, we paid 60€ for two beers and a terrible experience. I wouldn't want that on my worst enemy. to be someone who hates to complain and feels very concerned to do it, I couldn't even enjoy my food ursache I constantly thought what would go wrong next and that I would have to speak on. the only thing that was saved this evening was when we went, the amazing professional waiter who served us, came to say goodbye and apologized for eating in our own language (Portuguese.) it was a really king's gesture from him and made me feel much better. we told him that we appreciated all his efforts and that his service was perfect.
