But I guess, to each his own. We picked the place simply bcause we were running short on time and I had no desire to waste it. The place advertises Prix Fixe menue for 17.90 that includes your typical 3 course meal. So went typical...too. Escargot, onion soup....etc. Cant say that the dishes were bad. No, they were just typical the diner style dishes. To add to the above experienceare the interior walls of this place are covered with paneling and magazine cutouts from the 70's that carry the feeling of saddnes and a desire to run away. Both gentlemen who run the joint, have everything down packed. Every sentence, every move is made out of repeating it so many times that it became automatic- second nature. You are just one of many who fall for this tourist hole.
Nothing fancy, just another tourist restaurant. Food was alright, service was good. I had the set menu; good value for money.
Everything from the welcome, the communication, service and definitely the food was the best we have had. Although we have only had good experiences in Paris, this restored our faith in quality and value. This was top class food at a very reasonable price.
Very friendly waiter and told us exactly what the menu was and how much for a three course meal, must say have spent a lot more on food in Paris and not as good as this place. Makes you feel welcome and must speak 4...languages as he talked to everyone. Very pleasant ambience, the thing that impressed me the most was the service and friendliness of the place. Recommend for a nice lunch at a reasonable price for the food, oh and does a nice beer so I am told, my friend recommends the beer.
