The staff is dressed up as long ago, I would say as in Vermeer's Masterpiece The Milkmaid or in dutch De Melkmeid ou Het Melkmeisje . You will be presented to the menu by the owner herself, she would recite it to you. This place is different from any other restaurant I have ever been to.
I know this restaurant for a long time ago. It's situated in a small village and was a former little farm with a very cosy charming house. One of the owners is the cuisine chef and i'm sure that she was a extraordinary self made cook some years ago. The place is so agreable as the food she produces. Nice dishes, nice wines and a fantastic atmosfere for a business or romantic meal. I go there very often and i'm not tired of it. Five stars !!!
It's the Kitchen of earth, but It should be called the kitchen of heaven! All the dishes we eat were delicious. The wine superb and the deserts sublimes. All the staff were exceptionally friendly. Even the owner came to explain each dish and how they were cooked.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This is one of the most beautiful place to joined friends or family to enjoy a great and tasty launch or dinner. Nice environment on a rustic but fancy house. Is mandatory reservation. All great options to discover the good Portuguese gastronomics. Go there, enjoy the ride and be ready to surprise.
From my home to the Cozinha da Terra we have to travel 42km. It is therefore a restaurant that deserves the journey, which is not very common. This time we were challenged by a friendly couple who knows the spot and goes there with some frequency. It is a rural house in stone and wood with the typical aspect of the houses of well-to-do farmers of Minho. The starters were very good. The pataniscas were not dry and they still had some fry oil, but the taste and texture were nevertheless at the right point. Then I ate a roast lamb that I had not eaten since my youth when the housemaid in our house in Beira Baixa made a roasted lamb that I still remember with longing. The white wine is produced by the owner 's family is of excellent quality. We will be back as it is worth the trip!
