Q Bar and Brasserie on The Avenue

We've been here a few times before and enjoyed it. This morning it was terrible. I couldn't finish my coffee, it tasted so bad. Our meals were not hot and not very nice either. Very disappointing!

On Friday night at 8pm, my friend and I decided to try a new restaurant using the Entertainment Book. We stumbled upon Q Bar and were pleasantly surprised. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, we were not disappointed. I ordered the linguini seafood pasta and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was generous and the dish arrived promptly. I was glad I didn't order an appetizer as I could barely finish the pasta alone. The price of my dish, around $30, was reasonable. I have already recommended this restaurant to about 20 people in just a couple of days. We had a wonderful dinner and the staff was very friendly. I definitely plan on returning to Q Bar for dinner in the future.

A great little spot for a quiet lunch, faraway enough from the cbd to be quiteish, we sat at one of the tables away from the main area, it almost felt as if we were the only ones there, the service was prompt and unobtrusive as well a being friendly, my wife and I both had the steak sandwich, which was delightful, the steak was a nice cut of meat unlike some places that use any old boot leather, it was also cooked med rare just the way it should be, and the handout chips were an awesome accompaniment to the main dish, would I recommend it to others? YEP, will I be back? YEP

Another disappointing dining experience dining with friends last night. The meal of grilled vegetables wasn't worth the $26 I paid for it. More onions on the plate than anything else. At 9.00pm we were told last drinks and not offered desserts or coffe which we would've had. We were virtually kicked out about 1/2 hour later. The staff were more interested in closing the doors than serving their customers. Not surprised that the couple of times I have been there for dinner they haven't been busy. I won't be back.

We came here again and were not disappointed. It is relatively quiet and the gardens are lovely. In addition, the staff are friendly and efficient, As well, we thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and the food.
