Kind Spring Chinese - PARAP

Open late I arrived here starving after a long flight past 9pm. The family run business was open and I entered and ordered a normal meal consisting of a fired rice and a bowl of fish fillets cooked in chilli oil. It was massive and I was unable to finish it and had to get the rest packed up. Even though it is a small restaurant they accepted AMEX cards and did not charge the usual excess fee every other establishment charges for using AMEX. The waitress was courteous and friendly. Obviously she was a chinese business student. Am sure to go back here. Settings are more traditional and very simple but food quality and price is really worth it. If you are not happy to eat there you can take away too. I recommend to try it.

Unless they have re-opened recently without any fan fare, this bar- restaurant- late night venue is sadly no more.

Bogarts does the best steaks in Darwin. Forget Char. We ate beautiful food tonight! Lovely breads, Duck Spring Rolls, an amazing Sake Salmon with feta, Chicken Breast cooked to perfection, Ribs melt in mouth, Porterhouse and Eye Fillet, incredible! All mains were good size, including either chunky chips or baby potatoes, with salad or vegetables. A Pannacotta desert, and White Chocolate and Raspberry Martini to finish our dinners. We have booked to come back next week. Thank you Bogarts! So sorry that our last visit was 30 years ago!

Couldn't fault staff but food was not great. Ordered a lamb shank and partner ordered a medium steak. Lamb shank came to table frozen to the bone asked to have another one. 25 minutes later the food arrived and really was not great, lacked taste and flavor and was scalding hot. Accepted to pay for Steak and drinks but refused to pay for lamb shank, staff were very understanding. Would go back for a drink but never again for food.

Bogarts is always fun after a hard week at work. Music is good, people are very friendly and interesting and it has a good vibe .
