Contribuiți la feedbackWe have lunch in Wayra on Saturday. There were some flies around us. They brought us some warm bread, that was fine, but later I saw the waitress take some remaining bread from another table and put it back with the new bread for new customers. The place was almost empty when we arrived, but they took their time to bring our order. We ordered Arroz con Mariscos, that was fine. For our children we ordered the Lomo Saltado, who was also ok, the meat was not soft. But the worst was the chap. It tasted Blande as if someone had poured water and washed the fish from all the lemon and other spices on the plate. That was really disappointing.
Short menu options make you think of a kitchen concentrated in few specialties. High expectations for a nice restaurant in front of a top hotel in Paracas. Poor and long service waiting. Too much monosodium glutamate (ajinomoto) in food. I can feel it when in excess.
I visited the restaurant during my return from a group trip to the Paracas Nature Reserve. It is located on the grounds of Hotel Emancipador. I had Peruvina mussels with Parmesan cheese. First was bread with butter. The bread was soft and I'm hungry. Peru makes great bread. The shells were delicious and the melted and reconsolidated Parmesan cheese added to the texture. We had a table overlooking the road and the sea beyond. They also serve a Pisco acid and a juice with all their dishes. The ambience was good. The price at 25 soles was a bit high, but went with the ambience and the amenities I suspect. The dish was well prepared and delicious.
During my short stay in Paracas we went to Restaurant Gourmet Wayra for lunch. Great service, excellent food, awesome drinks.
...from seafood inundation of most other restaurants here in Caracas. Ambiance was nice, music was pleasant (had a guy playing keyboard with synthesized accompaniments). We had beef stroganoff dish. Very good. Service was friendly and thorough.
