Incompetent and RudeWe had the misfortune of booking this place for an event and having to deal with the so-called manager, who obviously only holds this position because he is related to the owner.The night before the event we delivered a bespoke cake to the venue and were told that it would be stored in the Scotch room that was closed off with glass doors, just next to our seating section of the venue. Alarm bells should have gone off when we handed over the cake and it was being held at an angle, so much so that we had to request he hold it straight. We also discussed in detail arrangements for the florist, who was delivering the floral arrangements the next morning.On the day of the event, the florist called to say that she was at the venue and was told that they had no idea where she was to place the arrangements or who they were for.We arrived at the venue, no one approached us and there was no form of welcome. We knew where our section was and made our way to the tables, noticing that our cake, the centre piece of the day was not on the cake stand, or in the Scotch room where it should have been. At this point the so-called manager appeared, to say that the cake had melted overnight. You can imagine our reaction. We were taken to a dirty, dingy, room behind the kitchen, to find what was left of our bespoke cake, propped on the edge of a small desk. It was more than obvious to anyone looking at this cake, that it had been dropped, but as we stood in tears looking at a shattered cake, we were lectured on how it had not been made properly and the top-heavy layer just slid off pulling the rest of the cake with it. When we enquired why the cake was here and not where it was supposed to be we were told this was the coolest room in the place, which was ridiculous. There was no apology, only sarcasm and rudeness.We have been making bespoke cakes for 14 years and have delivered cakes to all areas of Sydney, this has never happened. The cake was covered in ganache, which once set is extremely hard and has never ‘melted’. The supposed ‘heavy’ top layer of cake was made of Styrofoam, and for something that was supposed to have slid off the cake, it still had the ganache layer firmly attached to it. No part of the ganache was melted, and the actual cake was in pieces. Cake doesn’t melt and smash itself up. The cake had been dropped by an incompetent person. But of course, the spineless person speaking to us was never going to admit it.This same person then proceeded to totally ignored us and our guests for the rest of the time we were there, only sending the young wait staff girls to our tables who were clearly outnumbered by the amount of people they had to attend to. Not once did he approach the tables to ask if everything was ok, which it clearly wasn’t. Our event was ruined, and we were embarrassed by the lack of service and professionalism.The meal was average at best, there was no continuity in the service. The children were left waiting for food, while everyone else had been served, when we inquired where their food was, we were told that we hadn’t ordered it? There was no organisation at all. Guests were starting to leave, so we asked what had happened to the remaining cake that was supposed to be served on platters and were told it was coming. There was actually no point in serving it, because most of the guests had left. As we were about to leave, one of the girls came to ask if we wanted coffee or tea. Obviously not, we were leaving, the guests had gone.An experience I would rather forget and a perfect example of people who are put into positions that they clearly have no understanding of, or capability for. Apparently the owner David, is a lovely person to deal with. Unfortunately, the person we were subjected to, was rude, arrogant and incompetent. Will NEVER go anywhere near this place again, for any reason at all. Have never been treated so badly by a venue.

Great tasting food. Extensive drinks menu. I went here for my birthday with my family and I didn't have to pay for my main meal. We had garlic bread as an entree. For our main meals, we had Seafood Marinara , Lasagna, Veal Saltimbocca, Hawaiian Pizza, and Meatlovers Pizza, which were all cooked to perfection. Excellent and attentive service. Dietary restrictions: They cater for a gluten-free diet. Kid-friendliness: There was a kids' dinner party when we went there. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp which leads to door .
