Newk's Eatery - Panama City

At some point Newk's gave up on Good Food at a Decent Price. The portions are getting RIDICULOUSLY small, especially the shot glass sized fruit or pasta cup. And frankly the employees don't seem too interested in even being there half the time.

You to eat here like once a week and loved it. Visiting town decided to stop by and grab some food. No one would greet us or come to the counter. After standing there for about 5min with no interaction decided to just leave.

Love the sherry vinaigrette and Newks Q sandwich. Soups are great and service is usually quick but can get backed up during the high times.

The food quality has really went downhill. Last 2 visits the salad has not been fresh. Wilted lettuce and tomatoes that taste like chemicals. This trip the basil on the pizza was burnt and wilted. It could be a training issue. It appears that a lot of young teenagers are always on staff. Every visit they are sitting around and could probably care less.

Excellent Soup, Salad, and More! The portions are huge and the price is right. Way more than I expected. I ordered the choose two option and got tomato basil soup and a greek salad with chicken added. Absolutely Delicious! Excellent customer service from the cashier, to the server. to the manager everyone was working like a well oiled machine to make the lunch rush go quickly and smoothly.The cashier offered to let me try a soup before buying it and gave our table a sample of the chicken salad. I dropped my soup and the server heard it drop and was already on it to bring a new one. The manager came by to deliver to go boxes to our table. Free drink refills, and real southern style sweet tea. Great place for a guick lunch! Highly recommended!
