I recommend the ceviche loco. this place has a more casual feeling, even with sitting in the open. I come back in definitiw.
Good Peruvian food, a bit expensive. well roasted ceviche, pulp al olivo needs more taste. service
We had a nice lunch in the restaurant, the price is somewhat expensive, they serve traditional meals from peru, some of the menu is not always available, but the waitress helps us and recommends some good delicious dishes. super nice hospitality and friendly atmosphere.
One of the worst food experiences in Panama City for years. This wasn't our first visit to Mr. Limon (or their sister chain Mr. Pollo , but it will certainly be our last. When asking for the mains it became clear that not much was available (it was Sunday . The first 4 dishes we asked for were not available. They had no more octopus, no more chicken (a bit strange when the sister chain is Mr. Pollo , etc. Hence we asked the waitress that it would be easier to tell us what still was available. We pretty much went for the first two dishes she mentioned. One dish was some pieces of flat steak with some squid rings and fries. The other dish corvina with a fish sauce and white rice. The steak, squid rings and French fries tasted like pre-heated leftovers from the day before. The fish was just about ok, but the rice clearly was reheated and not boiled fresh either. I guess the options given to us helped the restaurant getting rid of the oldest food in stock. This is actually not an uncommon practise in the restaurant business. The extra surprise though came when paying the bill when we noticed that our main courses were charged as ‘chef suggestions’ at $35 each (all the normal main courses on the menu are priced $18 to $20 and there’s actually no mention of the existence of ‘chef specials’ . To be honest, even if we’d been served these dishes from a street vender I’d not have gone back. However since these dishes are supposedly the best their chef can make and we paid premium rates, I believe this review was necessary. Based on our experience, I don’t recommend this restaurant at all.
We were in the nearby hilton and went by because it was the nearest restaurant on opentable. eating and service were very good, although a bit expensive. we appreciate the small free ceviche. would have preferred a menu in English, especially as it is in a counter with many US tourists. a beautiful place.
