I decided to stop by a seafood market located at the end of the coastal strip to satisfy my craving. I believe that dining at these ceviche stalls is the best way to experience the variety of this traditional dish, which is essential for any celebration in Panama. The best part is that the seafood is fresh and guaranteed to be so, as it is right from the market. I enjoyed a delicious mix of octopus, shrimp, and corvina served with just a spoon and a cracker. The renovated section of the market is quieter and more organized, offering a typical flavor and a must-visit destination where locals and foreigners come together to sample one of the region's most traditional dishes.
Today I wanted to satisfy a craving, in a natural way, and admire the bay that borders the Old Town. But my idea was to do something quick and cheap. So I made a stop at the ceviche stalls at the Mercado del Marisco at the end of the coastal strip to give myself that little pleasure. I believe that eating at some of these ceviche stalls is the best way to sample the variety of this dish, which is a must-have at any celebration in Panama. And the guarantee is that they are in the market, so the fish is definitely fresh. Octopus, shrimp, sea bass... Just a little cup, a spoon, and a cracker to accompany.
