Tables are spacious, service is very kind, food is based on simple quality plus a very reasonably priced wine list. For example I had a mixed salad and grilled hake. Simple but perfect. The menu had at least 8 first and 2nd course with a tremendous variety which could suit many different choices.
Found this on a whim. Saw Spanierds going upstairs from the bar. Ordered a large filet with Roquefort and fries. Very lovely and great to eat the bull rather than be chased by it while in Pamplona.
We visited the restaurant after reading trip advisor reviews and felt like we'd found a real hidden gem. The food was the best we'd had in Spain (great soft steaks) and the waiter was very attentive. It started quiet when we arrived but became buzzing with locals at about 9, a good sign. Go for it!
