Contribuiți la feedbackEvery year the PVE Police Dept. holds an Open House. This well-attended event includes not only police vehicles on display, but also fire engines equipment and educational booths by the forestry division, disaster preparedness, wildlife conservation others. Bring the kids! Wide-eyed kiddos were sitting on police motorcycles, in police cars, in fire trucks, touring the police station generally having a ball. Police Officers Firefighters were on hand to answer all questions give explanations of what they do and how they do it. (A little boy introduced himself to a Police Officer told him he wanted to be a Firefighter. I enjoyed an excellent free hot dog glass of lemonade. I think my favorite booth was the one with the stuffed real coyote, where I learned everything about urban wildlife. I thought I knew a lot but now I know more. A couple of golden labs were barking at the coyote in the glass case. The Shakey Quakey truck was there, simulating the experience of an earthquake....but I wasn't brave enough to try it out, afraid I might yack my hot dog. The PVE Police Station is right next to Malaga Cove plaza. You can walk a few blocks downhill to the ocean. As far as locations, it doesn't get much better. The opportunity to meet your local Police Officers Firefighters doesn't get much better, either. I had a great time today! Thanks!! See ya next year.
The police department in Palos Verdes Estates provides a wonderful service that connects schoolchildren with senior citizens. The police have been actively assisting seniors by delivering meals and checking in on them daily. They truly are the best!
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to a staff member's racial bias. I was trying to resolve an issue with a parking card, but the woman I interacted with was not helpful and made me feel unwelcome. It's unfortunate that such attitudes still exist in our society. I cannot recommend this place.
This review is based on my visit to Palos Verdes Estates, and I truly appreciate the charm of the area. I love the contrast it offers! Although I don't live here, I enjoy visiting because I find it to be calm and tranquil. The city is designed around the natural landscape, and I like how there are churches and schools nearby the homes. After driving from LA, it sometimes feels like stepping into a different world!
