Safeway - Palo Alto

The roasted chicken is always delicious and I particularly enjoy the coleslaw and egg/potato salad. They never disappoint. And don't forget to add a cookie for a satisfying lunch experience.

I have ordered from this restaurant multiple times because it is convenient, but I have been disappointed that they never send me all the items I ordered. I only find out from the DoorDash driver on the second or third attempt that the items are no longer available. It is frustrating that they cannot update their menu or contact me the first time to let me know. Despite this issue, I personally enjoy the food at Safeway.

I was disappointed to find out that they did not have the Kale Mango Coconut Salad on the menu.

I recently tried the Deli located inside Safeway on Middlefield in Palo Alto for the first time. I ordered and enjoyed a delicious hot ham and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread with mayonnaise. It was truly the best sandwich I have ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. I also purchased a small bag of chips and a bottle of water, and found the overall price to be very reasonable. I sat outside by the bank and wished they had more seating options, like tables and chairs inside and maybe a couple outside.

The quality of Safeway products at this restaurant is average, but the service is lacking. During my visit today, I had originally planned to purchase a piece of fish fillet. However, when I saw that stone fish were also available, I decided to purchase another piece. The young Caucasian man serving me, who wore round glasses, seemed irritated when I changed my order. He questioned my decision, hesitated to make the change, and rudely asked if I was sure that was all I wanted. This kind of customer service was extremely disappointing.
