Rooh (palo Alto)

The food was disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant. While everything was beautifully presented, the taste didn't live up to expectations. The prices were understandably high, but I would choose to revisit Rooh San Francisco over the Palo Alto location. For first-time visitors, I recommend going to Rooh San Francisco instead, as it offers a better experience and more options. As for vegetarian choices, they are quite limited here, so I suggest trying Rooh San Francisco for a wider selection.

QUALITY ISSUES WARNING!!Went for my wife’s birthday dinner here. I will start with the taste and quality of the food at this restaurant.Taste 4/5 as every single dish we ordered was perfect and very tasty.Quality 1/5 most of the dishes we had weren’t of good quality and both of us felt that they were stale. Naan breads were hard and aloo tikki and other curries we had also tasted as if they were just preheated from fridge and not freshly prepared.Cost pricey for the quality they are serving but that’s something which you know before going.Both of us got our stomach upset in the night and had to take medicine due to the indigestion ROOH’s food did after 2 hours of consuming it. Quality issues have been mentioned in other reviews as well so please do take this into consideration before trying out this costly restaurant.

The food was average. I don’t know if it was the dessert, the drink, or the food, but my husband and I both developed severe cold symptoms the day after dining at Rooh.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area! Indian with a fresh take. My recommendation is to focus on drinks and small plates! Kudos to Chef Apurva Panchal. Our server Mathew was amazing.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.

We had an amazing experience at Rooh for my mom's birthday! It was our first time there, and we were delighted with everything. The staff was very friendly, and we got a fantastic table. The food was outstanding, offering creative takes on classic dishes that we adored. The drinks were equally delightful, including the Jungle Juice which surprisingly combined coffee and nutmeg to perfection. The evening was topped off with a delightful birthday surprise. Thank you, Rooh, for making it such a memorable celebration. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit!
