Izzy's Brooklyn Bagels - Palo Alto

Bagels are fantastic. You can buy their cream cheese to use at home as well and it is great! Staff is very nice. They have an outdoor sitting area (they have a speaker so you can hear your number being called but it is sometimes hard to hear). You can order at a tablet or in person which reduces lines.

The bagel was okay. We probably won’t visit this place again. The lox bagel had a very strong taste that we did not like.

Horrible experience. I rarely leave a bad review, but Izzy’s deserves it more than any others. All we wanted was a normal lox bagel, which we thought we ordered outside by adding the $5 add-on to the lox special bagel sandwich. Instead, we just got more of the lower quality salmon and not the normal toppings (onion, capers, etc). See pics. When we tried to fix it and explain the confusion, the employee was extremely rude and eventually shut it down by saying some very rude comments Other issues are that the outdoor ordering kiosk (in addition to being confusing) charges a large convenience fee that’s hidden in the “taxes and fees” line. Would definitely NOT recommend this place

The food is a bit on the high end but it is Palo Alto!!

I recently visited and had a mixed experience. We waited 15 minutes for two bagels with cream cheese and two coffees, and unfortunately, the bagels were disappointingly dry and lacked the fresh-baked taste I was expecting. Additionally, my iced coffee was watered down, which was quite a letdown.
