Food is ok, service is good, nice ambiance. I’ve definitely had better sushi but this is a classic Japanese (americanized of course) spot. Typical special rolls. Fish was pretty good but nothing to write home about
Wonderful dining experience, but a pricey meal with small portions. Service staff attentive and knowledgeable. Nice atmosphere, adequate privacy for a business or romantic meal.
Just incredible. The sweet prawn, tamago, and salmon roe were all standouts for me. Seared salmon belly was to die for. The service was fantastic, the waiters were so nice. Full house on a Wednesday, and for good reason. Fuki does it right
Had dinner last night with 2 other couples. It's been over 30 years since our last visit. So many options in Palo Alto and Mountain View. But we'll be going back a lot sooner rather than later. We shared appetizers. Panko fried oysters were exceptionally good. Creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside and very fresh. Agadashi Tofu was excellent and the obligatory edamame was done perfectly with salt sprinkled over the top. Everyone chose their own dinners. Some had sushi and sashimi sets and I opted for the Shrimp tempura and assorted tempura veggies with broiled salmon teriyaki. It came with a well portioned pre-meal salad with the best miso dressing I've had in a long time. The assorted spring greens were crisp and cold with thin strips of carrot and sliced cucumber. Tempura was crispy, non-greasy and very tasty. The salmon was fresh with good flavor but a little over done and dry. One of my friends ordered the same dish and made the same observation. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. We shared some desserts. A matcha gelato (my favorite) on top of red bean paste, assorted mochi and a strawberry sorbet. All were really good. The service was excellent as well. Very attentive and not intrusive and the prices were very reasonable. If you've not been and enjoy Japanese food, I believe you'll be pleased.
