Evvia - Palo Alto

Second time visiting. Food was excellent as last time, but the server need more math training and learn how to respect their customers. $505 after tax for 5 people dinner. We gave $95 tips after being told explicitly that tip is between 18% to 20%, but the server came back and said we gave $50, 10% only. They even didn’t want to listen how the math work. We felt humiliated and funny. The good impression on the food was ruined by the unprofessional service.

This place is super amazing. They have really great food and amazing service. We got the lamb shank which was amazing, the baked feta which we loved as well as the meatballs and octopus. The fish was also really great. This place also has such a great ambiance. Will for sure come back.

Recommend sitting outside. Super packed inside. Food was phenomenal, as was the server. Not much of a veggie person, but Loved their vegetable appetizers! I had the lamb shank, which I did get full from. The rice wasn't super flavorful, but the lamb shank did give it all the flavor I loved. I wouldn't have it any other way. Rice should never steal the show. The ribeye was delicious . Beautiful dishes just like the atmosphere. Do not skimp out on the desert! The huckleberry cheesecake, to die for! The server was super honest helped us order our dish. We ate here for our 8 year anniversary, which I was at 1st skeptical but was the best decision. My fiancé was skeptical as well as she's not a huge fan of Greek food, changed her mind too! I posted some photos of our plates a Negroni . Enjoy!!!

Have been eyeing this place for awhile and finally got to go with colleagues. We ordered tapas style and I liked everything we had: spanakopita, pantzaria, pikilia, saghanaki, sokolatina, and baklava. The service was also excellent which is always a nice surprise in this day and age. Would most likely save for special events as it is rather pricey.

Overall good food! We ordered the Lamb shank and the chicken. Both were good. The lamb shank especially was well made and moist. We also enjoyed the greek yogurt cheesecake with huckleberry sauce for dessert. Service is good overall, but could need a personal touch. We had reservations and came in for our anniversary, but were given a community table. We told our server about the anniversary and why we wanted a private table, and they did move us, but there was no acknowledgement even when we mentioned that it was our anniversary. Seems it didn’t matter to them what the celebration was. Doesn’t matter that much to me, but tells me that it is a good restaurant with good service, but not ‘great’. We also didn’t get a cocktail menu, then later realized they had a full bar.
