Tio's Latin American Kitchen

We just happened to stop here for dinner in 2019 and found out there were fireworks at the cove the same evening. We enjoyed our food and service during that visit. So, four years later we made it back to HHI and decided to make that our new tradition. Tios and fireworks at the cove. Hubby ordered a shrimp burrito this time, and said the flavor was good just was cold, not even warm. Our son ordered the kids taco and enjoyed his food. He is a picky eater, so it must have been good. It's also served on a frisbee to keep. How cool is that! I ordered the roasted pork dinner, and it was delish! It came with choice of rice, choice of beans, choice of bread/tortillas. It came with fried plantains as well which were a nice addition. Our waitress had a ton of tables in the outside patio area, but she kept up with everything quite well. We will be back on our next visit to HHI!

This is the 2nd time we have eaten at Tio’s. We sat at the bar as it was busy and there was an immediate opening. Unfortunately the setup for tables is very cramped. A server was walking between me and another table and the patron at the other table stood up and knocked the waiter and his tray of very hot food onto my back. No apologies from the waiter, management or the patron. An apology would have been nice.

Had an excellent meal at reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Not a noisy place which made conversation pleasant. Will definitely go there again.

We loved the atmosphere, we also sat outside. Service was not what is expected. We felt rushed, not heard especially when having questions. No complimentary chips and salsa, taco salad was mediocre same with tacos. The only thing we enjoyed was the pulled pork.Not a true Latin/Mexican restaurant.

Around 7:30, the night of the big storm, we rolled in there. They were closing, but welcomed us in with open arms. Amazing food and experience. Attentive service. Felt like family. Carne Asada is amazing! Thanks!Kid-friendliness: They made my 3 year old feel like a princess!
